Free Activity Day for People with Paralysis 22 August 2012

With the Paralympics due to open the Action Park, Essex, will be hosting a FREE outdoor sporting event of Rally Buggies, Archery, Quad Biking and Clay Pigeon Shooting on the 22 August 2012 to promote the various sports that are available to disabled people.

This event will allow those less able an opportunity to experience a variety of activities in a safe, supportive environment.

Rage, the official designers and manufactures of the world leading range of road and offroad Rage buggies, will be bringing along a twin seater Buggy (seen on Top Gear). The buggy will be driven by an experienced driver allowing the passenger to experience the thrill of off road rally buggying. There will also be a buggy fully adapted with standard push / pull hand controls for disabled drivers.

Sportability, a registered charity, provides sport and challenging pursuits for people with paralysis around the UK. The team from Sportability will be in attendance on the day running the Archery, Quad Biking and Clay Pigeon Shooting event.

These activities are open to the complete novice and/or someone with a little more experience - it really doesn't matter. It is really just about trying something new and different - you may be surprised at what you can achieve!

This event is open only to people with a disability. For more information on this event or attending then please contact Heather at enquiries@actionpark.co.uk, follow us on Facebook or Twitter for up to date information on this event.
